This book is part of six children's books of Kemal Yalçın. The story is set in Bochum in the Ruhr area where the author lives and works as a teacher. Illustrations have been made by Ayda Kantar.

Working at a comprehensive school in Bochum Kemal Yalçın has developed quite remarkable literature projects with his pupils. One of them is the unforgettable poem anthology Die Wildrose – Yabangülü.

In 2007 the writer managed to realize a project of a similar scope titled "Hayalimdeki Okul" (approximately "That's how school should be"). For that project he was given an award on 19th June 2008 in Cologne.
