In this anthology you can find five poems of Kemal
Yalçın. They all are fine examples of Yalçın's abilities to amalgamate political commitment, deep and
profund thought and strong expressiveness and creative power. This is one of them.
The anthology has been dedicated to the Turkish publisher Hüseyin Çölgeçen who died in Oberhausen in
January 1995. Hüseyin Çölgeçen played a very important part in my life when I started working as a
translator. In the early 1990's Metin Gür,
Fakir Baykurt, and Kemal Yalçın were to play the most important part in professional life.
